Legislative Session - The State of College Admissions in New York State
This year's Legislative Session at the annual conference for the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling promises to appeal to members of both the high school and college community. Because of the difficult economic times that our state government is facing and how it is effecting higher education, we have asked New York State Assembly Members Francine DelMonte and Jim Hayes from the Buffalo area to address the group. Following their address we have an expert panel with leaders of CUNY (City University of New York), SUNY (State University of New York), and CICU (Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities) discussing the economic difficulties that their constituents are facing and the effect on admissions. There will then be plenty of time for questions & answers from the audience. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Legislative Session on Friday morning, June 4th!
